Justified
Justified began running on the FX Network in 2010. Its sixth and final season concluded on April 14, 2015. The series received critical acclaim throughout all six seasons. Justified is a drama based on a character by Elmore Leonard. Leonard featured him in a short story, “Fire in the Hole;” this character became the protagonist of Justified. The storyline of the show, created by Graham Yost, focuses on Deputy US Marshal Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant). He delivers his own form of justice, which gets him reassigned to his hometown in Kentucky after he botches a job and ends up in trouble for a shooting. He is what many call a “19th century-style lawman,” and his unusual methods attract attention.
Justified features a different overarching plot every season, although it abounds with subplots involving the other characters, like Ava Crowder (Joelle Carter), Boyd Crowder (Walton Goggins), and Chief Deputy Art Mullen (Nick Searcy).
The show has received 66 nominations and won 10 awards, including 2 Primetime Emmys. Timothy Olyphant has won lots of acclaim for his portrayal of Givens. The show has also received nominations for music and editing, showcasing an attention to detail that has earned them the praise they receive.
